A mix that describes Ellen's DA:I story through soundtrack and annotation. A mix for an Inquisitor that seeks comprehension, appreciation, fairness, empathy, and - above all, defense for that which is - despite a lack of reason or common appreciation - exemplary and beautiful
A mix for a Dalish Knight Enchanter with a passion for Cassandra, camaraderie with Dorian, and an appreciation for the rest that can rile dormant aggression and protectiveness.
This is the fourth piece of a set that covers Elin's role as the Inquisitor. This mix focuses on preparing for the final parts of the journey, facing Corypheus, and moving on to Trespasser.

Annotations:

1. Moments of solitude are valuable for coming to terms with the vulnerability of herself and the world around her. Elin spends much of her time wandering Skyhold alone or with one companion, and appreciates the beauty of the areas throughout Thedas that she's been so fortunate to become familiar with.

2. Solitude and coming to terms with the danger ahead. Exploring Skyhold with a sombre appreciation.

3. Each companion is granted as much time as they need to converse or otherwise be given therapeutic opportunity. Elin spends much of her time with Blackwall, Varric, Cole, and Josephine, who appear the most overtly worried about her and unsure about their confidence in the final fight.

4. Cassandra has a final romantic scene with Elin, relaying her hope and confidence in the Inquisition and its leader, despite her worries for the safety of the woman she's come to love.

5. The Inquisition gathers for engaging with Corypheus.

6. Crashing debris is not enough to keep the Inquisitor from facing Corypheus, finally.

7. Bolstered by her company and her convictions and faith, Elin defeats Corypheus and banishes him to particularly disorderly folds of the Fade. The Inquisition is victorious.

8. Elin faces the damage to the Inquisition but notes that victory has been attained. The orb is destroyed and Solas departs. Elin accepts that this is reasonable but hopes that she may one day see him again, and she wonders... The troops return to Skyhold and Elin accepts their praises, if only to bolster their own confidence and pride in themselves.

9. Celebration and eventual farewells, with the promise that they aren't certain or final by any means. Cassandra and Dorian remain with Elin.

10. The Inquisition's purpose is wonderfully absent and Elin has plans to disband the organisation to avoid vulnerability to corruption, even before she receives word from the leaders of Thedas for meeting. She will miss the organisation and has worries that they may have disbanded too early and could have brought more good, despite the risks of corruption. Elin reunites with those companions that had left or briefly parted ways. The information gathering prior to the events of Trespasser takes place.

11. Trespasser and looking to future. Elin disbands the Inquisition and sets her sights to investigating Solas, with especial interest in a resolution that will only turn to violence if no alternative is found. Elin will defend the fair amount of peace she's seized and the world she's only just begun to see and has always loved. ...less
